Renting out motorbikes, especially premium models such as Ducatis, is very expensive for rental agencies. To begin with, there is the purchase cost, which is certainly higher than for lower-end motorbikes, let alone a scooter. We are therefore starting from a higher base; nobody expects to hire a sports car for the same price as a small car.
We must also factor in one of the costs that has the greatest impact on managing a fleet of motorbikes of this calibre – in our case, DUCATI. This is the cost of maintenance and any repairs that may be required following the hire.
Maintenance carried out by OFFICIAL DUCATI workshops is certainly more expensive, but it provides a guarantee both for us as the rental company and, above all, for ALL OUR CUSTOMERS, who will have access to a motorcycle that is in perfect condition not only aesthetically but also – and most importantly – mechanically and electronically.
Official DUCATI workshops employ highly specialised staff who repair and service DUCATI motorbikes specifically. As official workshops, the mechanics are required to attend regular refresher courses at the manufacturer’s headquarters. Furthermore, all servicing carried out at the scheduled intervals and any repairs made to the motorbikes are constantly monitored by the manufacturer. Clearly, all these procedures increase costs compared to the ‘friendly local mechanic’, but in return they offer important guarantees regarding the work carried out.
As many people know, today’s motorbikes are essentially computers on two wheels; the multitude of sensors and control units makes them highly efficient but, at the same time, also vulnerable. Here too, having access to official diagnostic tools supplied by DUCATI headquarters, alongside safe and tried-and-tested procedures, helps to quickly identify and rectify a fault or an anomaly that needs resetting. Last but not least, we must bear in mind that DUCATI headquarters always offers advice to all its workshops worldwide to resolve the most complex issues. Who could know our DUCATIs better than the parent company that designed and built them?
For our part, at MMR22, we are committed to having all our DUCATIs inspected and serviced by the official workshop in Palma de Mallorca.

Entrusting your safety – and ours – to the parent company represents a significant financial commitment for us, but one that we consider essential. These are factors not always taken into account by customers when considering the hire costs of one of our DUCATI motorcycles. It would certainly be possible to cut costs, but we do not wish to do so at the expense of our customers.
The same applies to repairs. MMR22 ALWAYS carries out all repairs using genuine DUCATI spare parts. Even in the event of minor accidents, all damaged parts will be replaced with new ones. A poorly repaired or simply repainted part may conceal structural weaknesses that are not visible to the naked eye. All our DUCATI bikes are always as good as new for you.
