When planning your holiday, you booked a vehicle, car or motorbike from home so that you could visit a place you don't know in the best possible way during your stay. At the time of booking, everything is done automatically: dates to be entered, vehicle to be chosen and extras to be added. Once everything has been filled in, you receive a reply by email with a payment to be made. Everything is excellent and efficient. You are interacting with an automated system. If you have any questions, in the best case scenario, many motorcycle rental services operate automatically and you can chat with a VIRTUAL assistant who, thanks to artificial intelligence, will respond in a more or less satisfactory manner. In the meantime, plan your explorations of the place you are going to visit. Maps, guides and everything you can find on the Internet. Videos, reviews and all the social media ratings of people who have visited your destinations before you. Well, these are all useful aids, but they can also hide small pitfalls.
On maps, you will see a road that goes from point A to point B: perfect! The difficulty you will encounter in travelling along it, whether there are bends or hairpin turns, the condition of the asphalt, the type of traffic you will encounter, will not be mentioned. Normally, both physical and electronic maps are updated every X years, so discrepancies with reality are always possible. Guidebooks are always useful, but if they are not up to date, they often contain errors. Restaurants that no longer exist, famous places that have lost their charm, or simply photos of places that have changed radically over the years. Finally, when it comes to social media, we always recommend not relying too much on other people's experiences, whether good or bad. In a place like Majorca, two days of rain are enough to leave a bad memory. A boat trip on a sunny spring day, on the other hand, will leave you with wonderful memories. So be careful; be critical and trust the people who live on the island permanently.
You have arrived at the airport with your check-in to pick up your vehicle. For cars, there are two options: the vehicle is located directly inside the airport or nearby. All car hire companies provide very efficient shuttle buses that will take you to their car parks in a few minutes. As for motorcycles, the two options mentioned above are not available. There are no motorcycle hire companies with official car parks inside the airport, with the exception of a few large car hire companies that offer scooters. The delivery of rental motorcycles to the airport in Mallorca is also prohibited.
Some motorcycle rental companies offer to pick up customers at the airport. We are also happy to offer this extra service free of charge whenever possible. However, please note that our shop is located 10 minutes from Mallorca Airport and if you need to take a taxi, you will be charged the minimum fare.
Unlike almost all other rental companies, our Ducati motorcycle rental is managed directly by us. Our Ducati Experience does not begin when you pick up the motorcycle, but as soon as you make your booking, you can interact directly with us. Based on your needs and the type of holiday you are planning, we will advise you on the most suitable type of motorcycle, the routes to take, and even the location and quality of hotels. Many hotels that are wonderful in the low season, offering peace and relaxation, can become very different and sometimes less pleasant places in the high season. If you want to know whether a house or finca you want to rent really corresponds to the photos you have received or the descriptions, we will be happy to do a little “check” on site, so that your holiday is not ruined by false advertisements.
A few minutes after leaving Mallorca airport, you will arrive at our premises where a coffee will be waiting for you, and we will then take care of all the administrative formalities.
Now it's time for each rider and passenger to get kitted out. Protective jackets, regulation gloves and, last but not least, modular helmets: everything is thoroughly sterilised in our ozone cabin. For those who need them, we also provide handy motorcycle backpacks or leg bags. Please note that, in accordance with our pricing policy, clothing and accessories are always included in the rental price. There will therefore be no annoying extras that will increase the price.
Once you are dressed, you will receive a brief briefing on the motorcycles: basic operation and electronic settings. Some quick checks are also carried out on the functionality of the devices and external parts of the motorcycle. Brakes and tyres are always checked. If there are passengers, the tyre pressure and shock absorbers will be adjusted accordingly. We will help you install your phone and its electrical connection on the mount. Please note that it is always useful to photograph our vehicles upon delivery to highlight any minor cosmetic defects.
Once the briefing on the motorcycles is over, various possible itineraries will be illustrated with the help of a map that will be given to you. Of course, the roads will also be chosen based on your riding experience. Be aware and “honest” about your ability to ride a motorcycle you are unfamiliar with, perhaps even with a passenger on board. We will enable you to tackle the roads with confidence and will avoid recommending “complicated” routes that could cause you difficulty. We personally and frequently travel all the roads we recommend on our own motorcycles. Our recommendations are based on direct experience and are not reported by others. In the possible tours we will present to you, we will also give you some tips on rest stops, refreshments, places to visit and views to photograph. We also give advice on typical Majorcan dishes and any village festivals to visit.
